Mountain Drive today

Teresa and I headed to the North Georgia Mountains today to get out and take advantage of the beautiful, unseasonal warm weather. We headed to eat at Jocks & Jills, owned by some fellow Ridgestone church members. It was a great place, clean with a TON of big screen TV's for viewing. After lunch we headed up to Waleska, turned right and headed out towards Jasper.

On the way we pulled off the main highway and found a little town called Talking Rock, GA. They had a couple of cool little antique places and we found a nice piece to put in the empty dining room. It is something like a hutch and wine rack combo, don't ask me what it is called, it just looks good. Afterwards we went across Burnt Moutain, which was awesome, and found a nice 4 bedroom house with 9 acres of land on the mountain... but we already have a home so it was just wishful thinking.

We bought an apple pie to go along with our Christmas meal and headed home. As we got close to the house a fox ran across the road. We don't really live that far away from civilization and so far we've seen deer, racoons, possums, rabbits, squirrels and fox now. Teresa puts out cheap cat food on the front porch for a couple of local kitties but when we look out we usually see a little racoon or a little possum.
