Another Day in the Mountains

Teresa and I decided to take advantage of a beautiful, Houston like, winter day in Atlanta and start our tour of the numerous walking trails of North Georgia. After taking the long way around (read: getting lost) we ended up at Carters Lake (near Ellijay). Our plan was to go to Oak Ridge Nature Trail but we stopped at the wrong trail (Amadahy) but decided to walk it. It is generally a bike trail but we took it anyway! It was a beautiful trail and proved we are out of shape!!

On the way out we found our next house but unfortunately someone already owns it. We will settle for visiting the park area for now.

On the way back we stopped at the Home Depot in Jasper. I was wearing my Inked shirt from Ridgestone Church while shopping and the employee in the paint area asked me what my "Church in the Movies" shirt stood for and when I told him he said "Oh yeah, I read about them in the paper". I said it was a great church and we would like to invite him down Sunday to see us. He smiled and grunted...

After dinner we settled in to catch up on our Law & Order's we TIVO'd and called it a night. Today looks like another nasty day so we can catch up on laundry and cleaning. It will be nice to chill out after a bizarre work week.
