Bird Man in the Basement

I got the coolest gift for my birthday from my wife and family. My mother-in-law, Faith, gave me 2 bird feeders and some bird food!! Teresa got me a DVD with all of the Georgia birds on them so we can figure out what is eating the food. My family sent me a gift certificate for Wild Birds Unlimited, my second favorite store behind Home Depot.

I loaded up on supplies at the store and put two feeders on the deck and two outside my basement office window. It took a couple of hours and the birds are everywhere. We've got cardinals, finches, tufted titmouse, chickadees, wrens and flying above it all was a red shouldered hawk... probably ready to pounce on my birds. Our cats have taken in interest in them too!

The squirrels have also made an appearance but I will not fight them, they will win no matter what we do.
