It's Global Warming (part 2)!!!

Wow, is it cold out today. Teresa and I got up this morning and had to bring the plants back in the house. What is the deal, it is April 15th and at our house the temperature never made it over 42 degrees?

Spring here was so beautiful, for a week, then everything froze and now there is little to no color left. Too bad, this is such a nice place during the spring.

Weather forecast for tonight!?!
Tonight
Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain and snow showers in the evening. Windy. Lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph decreasing to 10 to 20 mph after midnight.

Other random thoughts for this Sunday night.

  • Today is tax day. Next year I am trying to break even (+- $500). I can't stomach the thought of paying more than I have to and getting some back... waste of money. The paper today said that most people think they are paying their 'fair share'. Interesting, the 'most' they referred to were people who, when all is said and done, didn't really pay any taxes overall.
  • Saturday morning I got up early and went to put gas in my car. The local Shell station had their gas for sale at $2.69/gallon. I filled up, returned home, got Teresa's car and went back for more. By the time I got back the price per gallon was $2.79... up 10 cents. Wow....
  • We visited a new church this morning and guess what the sermon topic was? TITHING!!!! Funny, the pastor apologized to those of us visiting. What's the problem? Money is a reality in life today as much as sickness, health, security, etc. We would, however, like to hear him on another topic one day.
  • I was just using my new mp3 player, provided by IBM, to listen to songs (Newsboys) while I downloaded some conference calls and podcast to listen to during an upcoming business trip. It is cool, I am able to create and listen to podcast using this tool. I will create a few podcast for my team, keep them up to date on the latest IBM HR stuff. Ain't technology grand!
  • I've got a ton of work (job wise) to do this week..... and that is a good thing.
