Teresa and I went to church in our area yesterday called Axios Church pastored by Ray Brim. It has to be the friendliest little church we've visited since our latest search began. The people made a serious effort to say hello, offer coffee, shake your hand, etc. By far the best first time experience of our recent visits. The church is a small one, recently started, that meets in a warehouse in Holly Springs. They have a great facility for a brand new church. The music was good, the style that we like the most, and the people leading it were pretty good, and genuine.
The kids were in the service during the worship time but when it came time for 'preaching' they all went to their own little service. During the time the kids were leaving the people were given a chance to break for coffee and say hello, which many did to us again. About 50+ people of all ages and races were in attendance.
The message was "Seeing God" and Ray was dead on in my opinion. It is refreshing to hear a new church strive to be 'relevant' by preaching the truth of the gospel. Ray spoke of "Aha!!" moments in life and I really appreciated his points and efforts.
Next week we continue our search. Hopefully we will be called to a new place of worship and service soon.
