Smoke, church and water....

SMOKE: Saturday and Sunday we awoke to smoke everywhere. This is the smoke from the forest fires in South Georgia. It makes our eyes water like crazy. Sunday we took off to the mountains after church just to get away from it. We found a little mom and pop restaurant on a river up near the NC border and had a good home cooked meal. Fortunately Monday was not as bad so we could spend some time on the patio cooking hot dogs for a Memorial Day meal.

CHURCH: Teresa and I went to 'big church' Sunday morning. We went to the contemporary service at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. We had a good time, good music and Bryant was as good as always. He spoke on the 'pentecost' and we really enjoyed it. I think next week we may try another big church closer to home, see what that is like. It is nice to go to a church with grown ups.

WATER: No rain here for weeks... and no rain is forecast for a long, long time. Maybe I'll just let the front yard die so I don't have to water it then cut it.
