Tuesday topics

• Alabama ran over a lowly football team that in recent past they would have barely won.
• Summer will not go away here, today's high, 93.
• I'm amazed sometimes at how rural my area of town can be sometimes. Teresa and I were filling up our gas tank the other day and their was a lady in the pick-up truck behind us pulling out a tooth with some needle nose pliers. How oh so very odd.
• We had someone look at our house (it is for sale) last Saturday. They said they loved it and that they would buy it BUT their new master bedroom furniture doesn't fit. We have priced the house to sell but with a back yard full of trees instead of grass it seems nobody wants it. Gotta have a flat, grassy yards for kids nowadays.
• We took the convertible out Sunday night and looked at some nice homes in the area. Good to drive a car with some muscle every now and then.
• Reading a good book right now, "The Right Thing" by Scott Waddle. He was the commander of the submarine, USS Greeneville, that rammed a ship off the coast of Hawaii in 2001. Hat tip to my father-in-law, Bill.
• Our pastor at church this past weekend taught a deep subject. Teresa and I were challenged and loved it. That word, deep, used to be a bad word in our previous experience. It is actually nice to study the Word sometimes and learn in church!!
• How come when I sell stock it goes up $4.00 a share within 2 days of my decision?
