Tuesday thoughts...
- We sold Teresa's little Honda Accord last night. She was sad as it has been her car for 12 years. She bought it new in 1996. Good little car. The new owner, a young guy named Michael, was thrilled with it. He was so excited when he and his mom paid for it last night. At least it is going to a good home.
- It has been cool for many days now and the rain started Sunday night/Monday morning, pretty much non-stop since then. Everybody is so happy here, the lakes are filling up too.
- HURRICANE UH OH... look out along the Gulf Coast and fill up your cars now:

- I just found out this morning that my little Mazda car, which I believed since I bought it 18 months ago, is a 2003 (not 2002). Cool and weird all at the same time. The dealer I bought it from 18 months ago also said it was a 2002 and I priced it based on the 02 model pricing. Now I feel even better about buying that little car.
- How's this for a headline? "9-year-old boy told he's too good to pitch". THIS story in today's paper was ridiculous. We can't have some kid that is better than others now can we? ;-)

- Alabama plays Clemson this weekend at the Georgia Dome. It will be so nice to travel 30 miles to a game rather than 225 miles to Tuscaloosa. Clemson is good so Bama better be ready to play!! Teresa and I will go down early and enjoy some of the festivities.
- This blog is named "Raining Acorns" because our first year here a large oak tree dropped a zillion acorns on the house. That resulted in a constant BANG, BANG all day and night, scaring cats and keeping us up. Well, they're BAAACK... the recent storms started knocking some of them out of the tree. We are in for another long fall season here.
