I did not know much about VP nominee Sarah Palin but I do know that her pick and story has energized both Teresa and I to pay attention, speak up and even, maybe, possibly, get involved! Yesterday I went to the local Republican Party office and, for the first time EVER, picked up a yard sign.
We are wondering just how long it will stay in the yard (theft/vandalism) but for now, it is there for the whole street to see!! McCain was not our first choice (Fred!!!) but I've become more energized lately watching McCain and with the addition of Palin, and the more I learn about her, we become more motivated to vote too!!
And here is where it gets even 'worse' for those of you on the left... We are going to the Right Wing Tavern Saturday morning to hear our representative, Tom Price, speak and to see if there is a way we can get involved in the local Republican Party. Oh, wait, it does get worse... one of my best friends is the Chairperson of the Texas Repubilican Party!! She's encouraged us to get involved too!!
Oh my... I may be loosing some 'fans' here but sometimes elections matter a lot (today is 9/11, remember that date?), and this is one!!!
